Brooke Huggins is from Red Springs and chose 麻豆社区P because it was close to home and had a homey feeling.
Brooke graduated in November of 2020 with a BS in psychology. During her time at 麻豆社区P she received the Chancellor鈥檚 Scholarship and the Maynor Honors Scholarship. Also during her time at 麻豆社区P she was in the sorority Alpha Phi Omega, a Chancellor鈥檚 Ambassador, and a RISE tutor.
Brooke said the most rewarding aspect of being a member of the Honors College was the classes. She really enjoyed the classes due to the professors making the classes fun and becoming very involved in the classroom. They really showed how much they cared for their students. The professors were adamant about students keeping their grades up and learning in the classroom.
The topic of Brooke鈥檚 senior project was college students and their pets. She chose this topic because her advisor specializes in animal behavior and while they were brainstorming ideas for the project she became interested in it.
After graduation Brooke will be attending PA school at Methodist university. When asked to give advice to the future honors students she said, 鈥淟earn how to not get overwhelmed, how to take it day by day, learning time management and what you as an individual can handle.鈥
