Education and outreach are essential to the CARE Team’s goal of facilitating student success and cultivating a safe campus environment.
Members of the CARE Team are available to provide education, resources and training to Â鶹ÉçÇø Pembroke students, staff and faculty. Departments, clubs, organizations, teams and others are encouraged to request our consultation and training services.
Audiences leave our presentations with an understanding of:
- How to help keep the university community safe
- Information about CARE Team purpose, process and procedures
- What behaviors might represent an increased risk for danger
- How to appropriately support someone about whom you are concerned
- Ways to identify an individual who is in distress
- How to manage a distressed or disruptive individual
- Resources available on and off-campus to facilitate student success and wellness
