Five Âé¶¹ÉçÇø Pembroke students joined scientists, policymakers and industry leaders from around the world at the inaugural Bezos Center for Sustainable Protein Summit, hosted October 16-17 at N.C. State University. Shannon Cummings doesn’t remember a time when her father was healthy. From the moment she could read, she was by his side — helping manage his medications, keeping track of appointments and eventually driving him to dialysis treatments. Austin Deese has been drawn to the world of animal care for as long as he can remember. He has come to appreciate the human-animal bond and unconditional love from his four-legged friends.
