麻豆社区 Pembroke is less than two hours from a stunning stretch of coastline. From the popular shores of Myrtle Beach to the quiet beauty of Wrightsville Beach or Oak Island, you鈥檒l find sun, sand and seafood just a short drive away. Whether you're after boardwalk fun, local eats or peaceful ocean views, the Carolinas鈥� beaches offer something for every kind of beachgoer.

North Carolina鈥檚 mountain escapes 鈥� like Asheville or the Blue Ridge Parkway 鈥� are only a few hours from campus and perfect for hiking, sightseeing and exploration.
Lumber River
The Lumber River State Park, one hundred and 15-miles of beautiful natural and scenic waterway, flows through Lumberton, N.C., and is designated as a National Wild and Scenic River. It is considered one of the most highly prized recreation sites in North Carolina. Recreation includes canoeing and boating, fishing, hunting, picnicking, camping, nature study, swimming, biking, jogging, crafts and fossil and artifact hunting.

Rooted in Lumbee tradition, Locklear Vineyard & Winery in nearby Maxton is one of the first Native American-owned wineries in the U.S. specializing in Muscadine wines 鈥� made from grapes native to our region 鈥� the family-run winery reflects generations of heritage, flavor and craftsmanship just minutes from Pembroke. You鈥檒l also find other scenic wineries across the region that celebrate the unique taste of southeastern North Carolina.

Without the museum at the forefront of my 麻豆社区P experience, I wouldn鈥檛 have been able to get my foot in the door with my future career path.
