Blake, Rowson named 2023 Brody Early Assurance Scholars at Âé¶¹ÉçÇøP
Freshmen Connor Blake and Angela Rowson are the 2023 Brody Early Assurance Scholars at Âé¶¹ÉçÇø Pembroke, granting admission to one of the top medical programs in North Carolina. The Âé¶¹ÉçÇøP pair have been guaranteed spots in the 2027 entering class at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
Biology undergrad Martina Van Etten immersed in deepwater research
Martina Van Etten spent much of the summer months on the campus of East Carolina University, where she learned to map the feeding regions of deepwater sablefish in the Pacific Ocean. The North Carolina GlaxoSmithKline Foundation STEM Summer Immersion Program at East Carolina University had placed her in the lab of oceanographer Dr. Rebecca Asch.
Âé¶¹ÉçÇøP student gains invaluable experience from University of Bath internship
Kimberly Yard, a senior chemistry major at Âé¶¹ÉçÇø Pembroke, recently returned from the United Kingdom, where she participated in a nine-week research internship at the University of Bath. Yard was among seven college students nationwide selected for the International Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program funded by the National Science Foundation.
