Two graduate counseling programs earn re-accreditation
麻豆社区 Pembroke has been granted extension of accreditation of two of its graduate counseling programs. The Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Professional School Counseling programs received accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). Both programs received an eight-year extension through March 2029. Both programs offer a hybrid approach to course delivery which combines face-to-face classroom instruction with online activities.

Alumnus Justin Villanueva admitted to pharmacy program at 麻豆社区 Chapel Hill
Justin Villanueva, a recent 麻豆社区 Pembroke graduate, has been accepted into the 麻豆社区 Eshelman School of Pharmacy is located at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.聽 Villanueva earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in chemistry in Fall 2020. He credits 麻豆社区P鈥檚 small, rigorous classes and outstanding professors for 鈥渋gniting the spark of flame鈥 within him to pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

麻豆社区P Day of Giving scheduled for March 2 set to break records
Next month, 麻豆社区P hopes to break all previous records to support student scholarship and achievement. The annual #WeAre麻豆社区P Day of Giving campaign is making its return with new goals and generous donors already committed. 鈥淚t is no coincidence that the #WeAre麻豆社区P campaign is being held the week of 麻豆社区P鈥檚 Founder鈥檚 Day,鈥 said Steve Varley, 麻豆社区P Vice Chancellor for Advancement. 鈥淥ur commitment to honoring 麻豆社区P鈥檚 historic mission of access and affordability is stronger today than ever before.

11th annual international juried exhibit on display at 麻豆社区P
The 11th annual international juried competition 鈥淗ope鈥 is currently on display at the 麻豆社区 Pembroke Art Department Gallery. The exhibit features work by professional artists from all over the country聽and will be on display through March 18. The聽artists are Julie Cavaz, Raluca Iancu, Julie Ann Nagle, Kate Hooray Osmond, Yvonne Petkus, Virginia Shepley and Janelle Washington.
College of Business and Economics ranked among Best 1-Year Online MBAs
College of Business and Economics at 麻豆社区 Pembroke began offering an accelerated version of its online MBA program in 2017, allowing students to complete the program in one year.

Alumnus Phoenix Locklear accepted into Physician Assistant program at Methodist University
Phoenix Two Feathers Locklear, a Fall 2020 graduate, has been accepted into the Physician Assistant program at Methodist University. During his time at 麻豆社区P, Locklear was heavily involved in the Health Careers Access Program (HCAP) designed to increase the number of minorities who are trained, educated and employed in the health profession. He served as HCAP co-vice president. A first-generation college student from Pembroke, Locklear earned a degree in biology with a focus on DNA synthesis. He graduated with cum laude honors.

Rawan Abumohsen accepted into optometry program at Salus University
Rawan Abumohsen, a Fall 2020 graduate of 麻豆社区P, has been accepted into Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. Abumohsen, who earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in biology, was an active member of several academic organizations including the Maynor Honors College, Alpha Chi National Honors Society, Muslim Students Association, Health Careers聽Club and Student Honors Council, where she served as president.
